The Promise to Remember Me campaign provides a meaningful way for the T1D community to maintain relationships with Members of Congress and to advance our key issues. Advocacy leaders schedule and conduct meetings locally in the Members’ home states - bringing together local individuals and families - to share their personal connections to T1D articulating the emotional, financial, and physical costs of the disease. These meetings highlight the lived experiences of our community and remind legislators of the essential role they can play to ensure continued Federal research funding for T1D and to support policies that improve the quality of life for those impacted by T1D on our path to cures.
