The meeting was held at the Middleburg Library in Middleburg, Florida.Ā  Attending the meeting were, Kaylin Hoffmann (age 7, diagnosed with Type I at the age of 2), Kaylin's parents, Chris and Sarah Hoffmann, her aunt, Jennifer Frisbee and grandmother, Melody Hoffmann.Ā  After attending the North Florida Chapter's Walk to Cure Diabetes that morning, we went straight to the Promise meeting in our "family team t-shirts" that say KAYLIN'S KURE.Ā  We met with Congressman Stearns in the Library prior to the Town Hall Meeting.Ā  He remembered meeting with Kaylin 2 years ago when she and her grandmother made the trip to OcalaĀ for aĀ PromiseĀ meeting. We thanked him for his support of the one year extension of the Special Diabetes Program and talked about how important it is that we get the multi-year renewal of the Special Diabetes Program approved in order to continue the valuable clinical trials that are going on now as well as the advances that we are making with diabetes and its complications.Ā  Ā
