JDRF Advocates met with Rep. Ron Klein to emphasize the need for continued support of the special diabetes program and that not getting the funding renewed would lead to a 35% decrease in overall diabetes research funding.Rep. Klein listened intently to volunteers and staff and promised his continued personal support.  During the meeting Sydney Lubetkin felt low and had to test her blood sugar.  So, Rep. Klein had the chance to see her test herself and then eat a snack to get her blood sugar back in check.Rep. Klein took a photo with JDRF Youth Ambassadors. Each Youth Ambassador thanked Rep. Klein and that made him smile. Felicia Goldstein was very gracious and also told us that we could contact her at any time. Both Rep. Klein and Ms. Goldstein mentioned that they are looking forward to our evening event, One Hot Night in Monte Carlo, slated for Dec. 1, 2007.
