Meeting Attendees:

We were able to meet with Congressman Putnam for about an hour.  We first thanked him for his time and his support of the SDP.  Then we each took a turn to discuss living with juvenile diabetes.  Rep. Putnam had many questions for the children.  He also asked for specific examples of industry partnerships JDRF has established with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to fill gaps in the development pipeline.  Mike Clark (Tampa Bay Board of Directors e-mailed Rep. Putnam the same day with links for the Industry and Development Program)    We had 14 people in attendance... Carolyn Boos, Mike Clark, Tonya Clark, Marissa Clark, Brandon Clark (Type 1), Scott and Kelley Parker, their daughter and their son Evan (Type 1), Betsy and Spencer Greason (Type 1), Lisa and Robert Gaudette (Type 1) and I (Ralph Scaglione). The meeting was a success.
