It has been a busy week here at JDRF Advocacy! On Monday and Tuesday, advocates were fervently fighting for research funding by meeting with Members of Congress on Capitol Hill as a part of JDRF's Government Day event. The attendees met with a total of 504 Member offices! Advocates who were unable to attend Government Day have been bringing the event back to their hometowns by attending Promise Campaign meetings. These meetings are equally as important as those held on Capitol Hill earlier this week, if not more!

Good Thursday to you and hope you had a chance to follow
along our #JDRFGovDay
efforts on Twitter
earlier this week. Volunteer JDRF Advocacy leaders were on Capitol Hill on Monday
and Tuesday to ask Congress to support a letter issued to the congressional
leadership by the House and Senate caucuses on Diabetes.

Every year the JDRF Advocacy team conducts a survey of our T1D advocate network and this year’s survey is right around the corner, coming this month!

Since the beginning of October 2011, the JDRF T1D advocate network has grown by nearly 35%! This is due to the great work you all did in helping us spread the word about the Artificial Pancreas petition.

With so many new advocates, we’re going to need to know where you guys want the JDRF Advocacy program to go. When you receive the survey, please take a few moments to fill it out… it shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes.

It's time for another round up of Promise meeting feedback!

As I type this, your campaign coordinators have scheduled or completed 139 Promise meetings. I wonder, who will be number 140? While we wait to find out, check out some of meetings our advocates have recently completed. These meetings listed below are all featured on the Promise website. Be sure to share these summaries with your friends and family on Facebook and Twitter!
