On November 2nd, Cameron and Michelle Crouse, Dr. Richard Rosenthal, and Rodney Barstein met with Congressman Artur Davis to thank him for his long time role as a friend of the JDRF.  Cameron presented Congressman Davis with a "Cameron's Crew" Walk T-shirt, a JDRF Cure Diabetes bracelet, a school picture, and a letter thanking the Congressman for his help in securing funding to research a cure.  Michelle thanked Congressman Davis for his consistent support on JDRF legislative initiatives, most recently, his co-sponsorship of H.R. 2762 which would renew the Special Diabetes Program.    Congressman Davis promised Cameron that he would continue to work for a cure.   Dr. Rosenthal addressed the overwhelming number of Alabamians who live with diabetes and the epidemic proportion of our state's population who may be undiagnosed.    He also recognized that the funding at risk supports diabetes research at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  The meeting adjourned with Congressman Davis promising to work to support the renewal of the Special Diabetes Program.
