Alabama advocates thank Senator Shelby for his support of the SDP renewal.
On December 21st Trace, Melea, Bobby, and Melissa Beasley, Cameron and Michelle Crouse, Kathy During, Amanda Humber, Elizabeth and Janet Park, and Evan, Meredith, Olivia, and Ann Patridge met with Senator Richard Shelby in his Tuscaloosa office. Attendees were thrilled to thank the Senator for his support of the newly passed SDP renewal. The Senator spoke proudly of his long time support of the JDRF and of diabetes legislation. Trace and Cameron each showed off their 2007 Walk Team shirts. Cameron left his trade mark thank you note with school picture and a blue JDRF bracelet. Elizabeth and her mom were proud to share the fund raising successes of their Walk team. Senator Shelby thanked the group for their commitment to advocacy and their work to cure diabetes.
