JDRf advocates had a fast meeting with Senator Michael Enzi On Tuesday, April 10 in his Casper office. Nine families were there representing the type 1 population of Wyoming, and four of those families were able to bring their children to talk with the Senator. After telling their stories of how they are affected by diabetes, the advocates discussed the artificial pancreas and the Special Diabetes Program with the Senator. He was supportive and shared with the advocates that his nephew, who is now 43-years-old, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was six. The advocates are grateful for their time with the Senator, and they can always count on Senator Enzi to support them!
