The best part of the Promise Campaign is the stories from the meetings—getting to meet new people from your local type 1 community, helping your Member of Congress understand what it’s like to live with type 1 diabetes, and the feeling of accomplishment after winning their support for diabetes issues.

We want to hear about your Promise experience! Telling your story allows you to become our most important ambassador. It’s the best way we can think of to get others involved with the Campaign.

So, new to the Promise Campaign this year is the Promise Story Contest! This year, spreading the word about your Promise experience can win you a trip to Washington, D.C.!

Participating Is Easy:

Attend a Local Promise Meeting
Attend a scheduled Promise meeting with other JDRF advocates to tell your story about living with type 1 diabetes to your Member(s) of Congress..
Tell Us About Your Promise Experience
You will receive a follow-up email after attending your meeting. This email will provide you with a link to tell us about your Promise experience and add a photo..
Share Your Story & Win
We'll add your story to our Promise Campaign website and make it easy to share it with your friends to encourage them to vote for your story. The story that gets the most votes wins a trip to Washington, D.C. for JDRF’s Government Day event 2013!
