Promise Video: Rep. Ellison (D-MN-5) Highlights First Weekend

The 2010 Promise Campaign is getting off to a quick start.  We've already got 25 meetings that have either been held or scheduled.

The first official day of the Campaign was highlighted by our second completed meeting with Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN-5).  This meeting was arranged by Promise co-chair, Camille Nash.  Check-out this brief video of Camille's daughter, Claire, talking with Rep. Ellison about the importance of diabetes research funding, http://bit.ly/vqNdJ

A very special thanks to all of our MN advocates that attended the meeting, as well as to Rep. Ellison.

Thanks also to everyone that's working on Promise to get meetings scheduled.  Please don't hesitate to contact anyone in the GR Office with any questions at advocacy@jdrf.org.

About the Promise Campaign

The Promise Campaign is a coordinated effort to schedule and complete as many meetings as possible between representatives and senators and their constituents in their local districts. In addition to building relationships with federal lawmakers, it allows JDRF to continue the momentum and messaging established through our Children's Congress event.
