60/100

Another exciting week for the 2010 Promise Campaign!
Your efforts are not going unnoticed, if you have been logging into your Twitter and Facebook (FB) profiles, you would have noticed highlights from some very successful meetings. Currently we’re at 61 meetings and many are in the works, read on to see what Campaign Coordinators are doing to get us to 100 meetings by August 31:

Persistence (the path of the JDRF-er)
The key to scheduling any meeting is not to give up and be persistent! Following up on meeting requests for each of the target legislators is an important action and helps Campaign Coordinators stay on the radar of the congressional office. Establishing a weekly communication pattern with legislator offices helps the coordinators stay organized and their updating the Promise Admin site with their progress.

Highlight!
In every Promise Campaign, we make an impact and move closer to a cure! Over the coming months we will share with you meetings that have had carried forth the spirit of the Campaign and helped congressional members join our cause to find a cure. This week we would like to share the success JDRF advocates had with Representative Collin Peterson (D-MN-7). About the Promise Campaign

The Promise Campaign is a coordinated effort to schedule and complete as many meetings as possible between representatives and senators and their constituents in their local districts. In addition to building relationships with federal lawmakers, it allows JDRF to continue the momentum and messaging established through our Children's Congress event.
